Get Mentors Inc. (the "Company") provides AI-powered services that help users learn from and engage with content sourced from coaches and mentors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our website, mobile applications (including the “Get Mentors” app), and related services (the "Service"), including when you contact us for support or interact with us through other channels.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Site" refers to the Company's website, accessible at www.getmentors.ai and our mobile application(s). "Service" refers to the Company's services accessed via the Site, including AI features, chat interfaces, and tools that leverage content from coaches and mentors.
By using our Site or our Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use (found here: www.getmentors.ai/terms). Depending on your location, we process personal information under one or more legal bases (e.g., to perform our contract with you, our legitimate interests, consent where required, or compliance with legal obligations).
I. Information We Collect
We collect "Personal Information" and "Non-Personal Information." Personal Information identifies or can be used to identify you. Non-Personal Information does not identify you. Below are the categories we collect and primary purposes:
- Account Information: name, email address, and profile details you provide. Purpose: account creation, service delivery, communications.
- User Content and AI Interactions: prompts, questions, chat transcripts, ratings, feedback, and any files or media you upload. Purpose: providing AI responses, improving services, ensuring safety.
- Coach/Mentor Content: content from coaches and mentors that we license, aggregate, or process (including publicly available content) to power the Service. Purpose: powering AI features and educational content.
- Device and Usage Data: referring URL, browser and device type, pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, crash/diagnostic logs (including app logs), and similar data. Purpose: analytics, security, optimization.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: on the web, cookies and similar tech; in mobile apps, SDKs and device identifiers (e.g., IDFA/GAID). We obtain consent where required by law. Purpose: authentication, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention.
- Payment Information (if applicable): limited billing information processed by our payment provider(s). Purpose: payment processing, fraud prevention.
- Communications: preferences and messages you send to us (e.g., support). Purpose: customer support, service communications.
II. How We Use and Share Information
Use of Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including AI features that generate responses or insights based on your inputs and coach/mentor content.
- Personalize content and recommendations.
- Monitor, prevent, and detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
- Analyze usage to improve performance and develop new features.
- Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Sharing of Information
- Service Providers: hosting, analytics/SDKs, customer support, email delivery, and similar vendors under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- AI Model Providers: third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI) that process inputs (e.g., prompts, context, and relevant coach/mentor content) to generate outputs. We share only what is necessary and configure providers to disable training on your data where available.
- Payment Processors: to process transactions you authorize (we do not store full payment details).
- Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
- Legal: to comply with law, protect rights and safety, and respond to lawful requests.
- Aggregated/De-identified Data: we may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.
III. AI Processing and Model Providers
To deliver AI features, we may send your prompts, files, and relevant context to third-party AI providers. We apply technical safeguards (such as filtering and redaction where feasible) and require providers to use your information only to provide the Service and to maintain appropriate security. Third-party providers may retain logs in accordance with their own policies (typically 30 days or less for abuse monitoring). We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
We do not use your Personal Information to train our in-house models without your consent. Where a third-party provider offers an option to opt out of training or long-term retention, we will use those settings to protect your data.
IV. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Example retention periods:
- Account information: while your account is active and for up to 2 years after closure
- Usage logs (including app diagnostics): up to 18 months
- Support records: up to 3 years
- Billing records: as required by law (typically 7 years)
- AI interaction data: 90 days unless you request deletion sooner
We delete or de-identify data when it is no longer required for these purposes.
V. Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing Communications: opt out using the unsubscribe link in emails.
- Access, Correction, Deletion: request access, correction, or deletion of your Personal Information, subject to law.
- Model Improvement Opt-Out: request that we not use your data for model improvement within our systems at support@getmentors.ai.
- Cookie & Identifier Controls: manage browser cookies via your settings or our preference center (where available). On mobile, you can reset/limit advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) and manage app permissions in your OS settings.
US State Privacy Rights
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, or other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including:
- Right to Know: information about the personal information we collect, use, and share
- Right to Delete: deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions
- Right to Correct: correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Opt Out: opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information; certain advertising may constitute "sharing")
- Right to Limit Use: limit use of sensitive personal information (if applicable)
- Right to Non-Discrimination: no discriminatory treatment for exercising rights
- Right to Appeal: appeal a denied request where applicable

EEA/UK Data Subject Rights & Legal Bases
If you are in the EEA/UK, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object (including to direct marketing), and data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already performed). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We process personal data under one or more legal bases: contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (e.g., security, improvement), consent (e.g., certain cookies/marketing), and legal obligations.
VI. International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and/or participation in recognized transfer frameworks (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework), as applicable.
VII. How We Protect Information
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your account is protected by a password—please keep it confidential and log out after each session. We will notify users of data breaches where required by law.
VIII. Mobile Application Disclosures (Get Mentors)
When you use the Get Mentors mobile application, we may process additional data and request device permissions to enable specific features. You can control these permissions in your device settings at any time.
- Permissions (if you choose to grant): camera and photo library (to upload images/media), microphone (voice input), location (e.g., to localize content; precise location is optional), notifications (to receive updates), and storage access for caching/uploads.
- Mobile Identifiers & SDKs: we may collect device identifiers (e.g., IDFA/GAID), app version, OS version, and crash/diagnostic data via SDKs to improve stability and performance. You can reset/limit advertising identifiers in your device settings.
- Push Notifications: we store a device token to deliver notifications. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
- In-App Purchases: when applicable, payment details are handled by the app store or our payment processor; we do not store full card details.
IX. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK) without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@getmentors.ai and we will delete it promptly.

Our Service may contain links to other websites or applications. Their privacy practices and content are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review their privacy statements before using those services.
