Peter Drucker - Biography
Peter Ferdinand Drucker was an Austrian-born American management consultant, educator, and author whose work shaped 20th-century management practice and education. He popularized concepts such as management by objectives, knowledge workers, and decentralization.
Peter Drucker was born into an intellectually active family in Vienna on November 19, 1909, and received a liberal education that combined law, economics, and the social sciences. He earned his doctorate in international law from the University of Frankfurt and published early works on political and social issues in Europe. After relocating to the U.S., Drucker began a career as a writer, consultant, and teacher. His 1939 book 'The End of Economic Man' established his voice as a social and political analyst. Across seven decades, Drucker authored numerous books and articles, blending sociology, history, economics, and management practice.
