He earned a master's degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1990 and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1997. Nadella began his career at Sun Microsystems before joining Microsoft in 1992, where he contributed to the development of Windows NT. He advanced steadily at Microsoft, becoming CEO on February 4, 2014. As CEO, Nadella completed the $7.2 billion Nokia mobile acquisition and later acquired LinkedIn in 2016. Under his leadership, Microsoft emphasized a 'cloud-first' strategy, transforming it into a market leader with a trillion-dollar valuation.
