Terry Crews is an American entertainer who transitioned from a six-year professional football career with the NFL to become a successful actor, television host, and media personality. Known for his comedic roles in films like White Chicks and The Expendables series, as well as his starring role on the television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Terry Alan Crews was born on July 30, 1968, in Flint, Michigan. He demonstrated early artistic talent and earned an Art Excellence Scholarship to attend the Interlochen Center for the Arts, followed by admission to Western Michigan University as an art major. Crews was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1991 NFL Draft. His professional football career spanned six years and included stints with multiple teams. After retiring from the NFL in 1997, Crews moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. His breakthrough role came in Friday After Next (2002). Crews has since appeared in numerous films and television series, including White Chicks, The Expendables, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Beyond acting, Crews has established himself as a television host and producer, and he is known for his appearances in Old Spice commercials.
