About Tom Brady
Tom Brady - Biography
Tom Brady is the NFL's most accomplished quarterback, winning seven Super Bowls and holding records for passing yards, touchdowns, and wins. Drafted 199th overall in 2000, he led the Patriots to unprecedented success before joining Tampa Bay in 2020.
Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. was born on August 3, 1977, and rose from a sixth-round draft pick by the New England Patriots in the 2000 NFL Draft to become the league's greatest quarterback. Initially overlooked, Brady earned the starting role midway through his rookie 2001 season after an injury to Drew Bledsoe, leading the Patriots to a 11-3 regular season record and an upset victory over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI, where he was named MVP. Over 20 seasons with the Patriots, Brady transformed the franchise into a dynasty, securing six Super Bowl titles, nine AFC championships, and 17 AFC East division titles. In 2020, at age 43, Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent, immediately delivering success with an 11-win season, NFC South title, and Super Bowl LV victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. He retired in 2023 after 23 seasons, 333 starts, and defeating all 32 NFL teams.
