Ben Greenfield is a globally recognized fitness expert, biohacker, and New York Times bestselling author who has revolutionized the intersection of athletic training, nutrition science, and cutting-edge wellness technologies.
Ben Greenfield was born on December 20, 1981, and developed his expertise through both formal education and athletic achievement. He earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University of Idaho in sports science and exercise physiology. Beyond his university training, he obtained certifications in Personal Training and Strength and Conditioning from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Sports Nutrition from the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), and Advanced Bicycle Fitting from Serotta. His athletic credentials are substantial: he participated in 13 Ironman competitions and over 120 races, achieving status as a USA Triathlon top-ranked athlete in his age group for a period of time, and won the International Triathlon Union Long Distance Triathlon World Championships for Men 30-34. After completing his education, Greenfield considered attending medical school but pivoted to the private sector instead, opening a string of personal training studios and gyms in Washington and Idaho. His success in this arena led to his recognition as America's top personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
